O melhor Chess on lime da web.
Well done, works fine on IPhone and IPad
Nothing bad to say at all.
Good app but the computer opponent could be stronger.
This app is so miserable and poorly supported that I put it in the Top Ten of the worst apps I have used. Its so bad, in fact, that I sought out a better one and discovered Chess.com, my favorite chess site now. Magnus Carlson has an account and kibitzes on Chess.com. What makes it so bad? Let me count the ways, but Ill spare you from all of them. I have lost games on time when the app showed that I still had time on my clock. Even more frustrating is that if I seek a game, I am locked into waiting for a player to respond; I cant seek another game with a different time control, nor can I see other seeks. My only option is to cancel my seek to get back to the challenges section. I thought that I had a workaround by pulling up the 90s-style console (that requires learning its arcane Unix type commands to navigate it), but "seek 3 0" is good enough to seek a 3-minute game with no increments. I can even issue other seeks with different time controls from the console--sometimes. The problem is that if this app finds another seek that matches mine, a screen pops up saying Im challenging so-and-so. And if the player doesnt accept the challenge, Im locked again from doing anything else. The International Chess Club is showing its age, and its interface even more. When my membership comes up, I will finally let it expire after 20 years.
It feels like they just gave up on this app. Chess.coms app is WAY better!!! Its always disconnecting and worst of all you dont have anyway to tell that it disconnected you. That is until you lose on time. Awful!
This app has everything I could want in a chess site... Very visually-pleasing, and I appreciate the ability to access the Console. Love playing on ICC!
If ICC addressed a few things it would be the best. 1. Most important is the lack of players and insufficient open challenges. 2. There is no way to copy the pgn or email a game to someone or post on social media. 3. The mugshot upload is broken.
After being on the ICC since 1998 or so, Im finally going elsewhere, for various reasons. The ICC folks have had a great run, but theyve failed to keep pace with the competition. This is a real shame, since they really helped kickstart the online chess revolution. Many online chess sites have them to thank for proving out what could be done to attract interest in our favorite game. Alas, the ICC has become a venerable relic among internet chess services. How long are they going to try to milk their old 1990s, console based server technology? I suggest you look at what amazing things lichess.org has done. Some big complaints. 1) Ratings deflation. For some reason, my rating on other sites is much more comparable to my actual USCF rating than it is on ICC. Bizarre, but true. Maybe 200-300 points lower here. Depends on the time controls. 2) No emphasis on analysis of your games. See lichess.org for what can be achieved 3) Extremely short memory of my recent games. Only 20? 4) Hard to analyze your games afterward. I want to play some variations on the mobile app... please. 5) Just plain lack of innovation. The mobile apps have kept them alive, but they havent improved a thing in years now, and the latest iOS release has broken their educational video feature. 6) Diminishing population. Its not as easy to get an offbeat time control game on ICC anymore. Be prepared to stay in the 5 minute pool. Larry C, Joel B, John W and Dan H are all stars, and perhaps the only reason to keep an eye on the site. Great content, but dont plan on watching it with this app.
The app works, but the examine functionality is not useful, more like playback. You can not search for games while you have a seek out. If you challenge someone, you must wait to see if they accept before looking for other matches. If all you want to do is play chess, it works, but for other functionality this app fails
This app was really handy during the World Championship match. I tuned into the broadcast and went about my daily schedule, checking in with the game progress for updates. I dont use it for rated game playing.
I would like to have some bughouse or crazy house on here. I really cant take chess serious on my phone. it will be nice to have some wild games available. Other than that its good.
It needs more features. Not complicated ones, just simple ones that match the non-mobile experience a bit more. Having said that, its a great app to kill time playing chess online.
I really like the mug shot feature of the ICC chess application. The players I meet on ICC play quite strong blitz chess. After practicing for a few weeks on ICC i entered a blitz chess tournament and won beating a National Master and an expert on the way.
Offline mode doesnt recognize draws by 50 moves, repetition, or insufficient material. Online mode wont allow you to correct a mistake in your password. In short, all I can do is play the computer to a win or loss.
Needs updating And only works in one of the two possible ve rival positions of the iPad Needs too much internet quality
Excellent site. Great for learning and many helpful videos in the lines I play
Much improved. Bravo!
I never had a pb with icc b4. The new version made me lost 2 games with unexpected quits! Very disappoiinting! Not recommended! Keep the old one, it never bugs!
